Shahrtash Publishing: Facilitating Children’s Learning

Shahrtash began its activities in 2002 with the aim of helping children achieve independence in language learning. The initial focus was on teaching English to children aged 3 to 12. It is important to note that the circulation of many of Shahrtash’s works in this field reaches more than 3,000 copies per year.

Since 2011, Shahrtash has also added Persian language teaching to its activities for ages 3 to 6.

In addition to its interest in the field of independence in children’s learning through language, Shahrtash has also shown interest in the field of philosophy and teaching thinking and reasoning skills. Farzaneh Shahrtash, the director of the publishing house, earned a doctorate in moral education from South Korea and after becoming familiar with the philosophy for children (P4C) curriculum in 2002, she focused on translating, promoting, and teaching philosophical thinking by publishing intellectual stories for children, including novels and picture books in this field, as well as their teacher guides. Dr. Shahrtash held philosophy workshops for children for teachers and educators to introduce the books and demonstrate their teaching methods.

With respect for copyright law, Shahratash strives to respect the rights of foreign publishers and has so far published 37 books in compliance with this law.
